Our focus is providing finance that unlocks social impact. We support organisations that struggle to access mainstream finance. We take a holistic approach when making investment decisions, that considers all aspects of the organisation – social impact, passion and drive of the entrepreneur, strength of community support and financial sustainability.

SEFA offers tailored financial solutions to social enterprises and mission led organisations in Australia. We provide loans and not grants.
We will work with you to determine what loan type might best work for you, to give you the best outcome without placing financial strain on your organisation.

Staff Volunteering

SEFA has a strong commitment to providing staff with volunteering opportunities. Staff take part in panels and forums, as well as being on boards of not for profits and providing expertise in how to be a sustainable organisation.

Grants

We do not provide grants.

Partnerships

We have partnered with a number of organisations, including founding investors NSW Aboriginal Land Council and Community Sector Banking. We are also working closely several Foundations. This includes the Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation who we are working with to support organisations that will help ease the affordable accommodation crisis in Victoria.

We source as many services as we can from our immediate, locally based community.

Environment

We participate in a carbon offset program to counter balance the impact that we have on the environment via flights and air-conditioning.

Recycling

We recycle as much of our waste as possible – including paper, ink cartridges and plastic.
