This conference will be of particular interest to those working within Perinatal Mental Health Services and Perinatal Mental Health Consumer Groups.

Preconference Workshops

•Half-day Workshop with Professor Ian Jones on “Psychoeducation for Bipolar Disorder and Pre-Conception Counselling” (Managing medication for severe mental illnes (including depression) through pregnancy and postpartum)
•Half-day Workshop with Professor Louise Howard on “How to Ask and Respond to Domestic Violence – A Practical How to Do It Session”.

•Half-day Workshop with Simone Honikman titled “Secret History” – A training technique to assist non mental health professionals working with mothers, to practice empathic engagement skills, where there are high levels of obstetric violence and low mental health literacy.
