Summer in Winter is the Summer Foundation’s annual business luncheon. The event aims to raise awareness of the issue of young people in nursing homes amongst the business community, political circles, philanthropists and media, and to raise funds.
All proceeds from the luncheons go towards our housing demonstration projects. The Summer Foundation is building a small number of innovative housing projects to demonstrate new and more inclusive housing options for people with significant disability. We establish, evaluate and document demonstration projects in order to encourage others to replicate these projects to increase the range and number of housing options for these young Australians.
