Melbourne’s Future: Most liveable, low-carbon city?

Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation invites you to attend its Sustainable Cities Forum on Thursday 26 May 2016 and join a robust discussion about how philanthropy can support Melbourne’s transition to a low-carbon future while sustaining an equitable and socially cohesive community.

Professor Chris Ryan will lead the discussion and deliver the event’s keynote address. Professor Ryan has worked for over 30 years across various areas of science, technology, environmental policy and design, and in projects that span the community sector, academia, government and international agencies and business. He is currently Professor and Director of the Victorian Eco Innovation Lab (VEIL) – a research unit within The University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.

A panel discussion will follow the oration, with industry and academic insight provided by Dr Rob McGauran, Dr Rachel Carey and Catherine Brown.
