We would like to invite you to join us at a special CEO Boardroom lunch with guest speaker Allan English, Founder and Executive Chairman of Silver Chef Limited, Founder and Chair of the English Family Foundation and winner of the inaugural Philanthropy Australia Leader award, who will talk about his focus on building a workplace culture that is aligned to purpose, his journey to B-Corp accreditation as well as the importance of using the power of business to work on social and environmental concerns that affect the wider community.

About our Guest Speaker

Allan English is the Founder and Executive Chairman of ASX-listed and B Corporation accredited Silver Chef Limited, founded in 1986. In 2010, he created the English Family Foundation to support local and overseas social entrepreneurs tackling some of the more challenging issues facing society, with poverty high on that list. Allan currently serves as a council member of Philanthropy Australia and is on the Advisory Board for QUT’s the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Non-profit Studies.

He is a former recipient of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and was recognised in 2012 by Queensland’s Community Foundation as Philanthropist of the Year. In 2014, he won the inaugural Philanthropy Leader award by Philanthropy Australia.

Allan isn’t afraid to dream big, and through Silver Chef, the English Family Foundation and Opportunity International Australia he has a goal of getting 1.5 million people out of poverty by 2020. In aligning corporate business with community values he and Silver Chef are proving that doing good things for the world is also good for business.
