 DIGITAL FUNDRAISING CO-ORDINATOR

12 Month Contract

(Melbourne Based)

The Salvation Army is looking for a dynamic professional to assist the Digital Marketing Manager in delivering a range of online activities to support the organisation’s fundraising activities.  Working in the Territorial Public Relations Department, the primary objective of this role is to provide digital fundraising support for The Salvation Army across Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and Northern Territory.

In particular, the role is responsible for:

  • Identifying and managing digital fundraising opportunities;
  • Creating, editing and maintaining content across digital channels;
  • Supporting offline fundraising campaigns with integrated digital marketing activities;
  • Managing the organisation’s online community fundraising events; and
  • Engaging with participants to support their participation and help drive their fundraising efforts.

To be considered for this role you will have either an Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications or Events and/or more than two years of experience working in a similar role.  You will have a willingness to promote and work within the Christian philosophy, mission and values of The Salvation Army as well as the ability to work with a wide range of people in a proactive and productive manner.

This is a varied role which will provide significant scope for development for someone who is passionate, self-driven and eager to get involved.

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications or Events, and/or 2+ years experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in implementing and managing online event or online fundraising activities;
  • Experience using web content management systems;
  • Experience writing content for digital channels; and
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Advantageous

  • Previous experience working in the non-profit sector.
  • Experience using Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience using Google Analytics.
  • Skills in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator).
