The Role
The Grants Manager will support the Programs department, in particular the International Programs and Disaster Risk Management teams in the management of a diverse institutional donor funded program. Reporting to the Program Development Manager you will be responsible for grant management advice and support risk and financial management and partnership support.
Specifically you will;
- Lead grant and contract management, providing strategic and technical advice to ensure program compliance
- Coordinate contract negotiation with donors, reviewing and drafting contracts, sub-grants and partnership agreements.
- Support and strengthen relationships with non-Plan partners, advising on and coordinating capacity development plans
- Oversee financial administration including annual & quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
- Diversify the funding portfolio through supporting bids and business development
- Supervise and manage the performance of the Grants Officer
Skills Required
This is a highly specialised role that would be suited to an experienced Grants Manager who, having worked in International Development will have a good knowledge of the grant donor market and demonstrated experience in grant administration, preferably with DFAT.
To be successful you will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Your communication skills will enable you to develop and manage relationships, resulting in further business. Strong financial acumen is a must.
