Inner West Neighbour Aid is seeking an experienced Intake and Engagement Officer. The position requires someone who is confident, engaging and friendly over the phone, great with record keeping, enjoys working in a small team and has a positive outlook on life.
Inner West Neighbour Aid is a fully incorporated community organisation that provides social support and home maintenance services to older people, people with disabilities and their carers living in the Inner West.
The role of the Intake and Engagement Officer is to be the first point of contact for potential clients and families, providing high level information on our programs, composing assessment documentation, managing all referrals and liaising with My Aged Care and Regional Assessment Teams.

This position offers:
• Pay rate at Level 3 Pay Point 1 under the NSW Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHADS) Award
• 15.2 hours per week on a permanent part time basis, available weekdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm
• Staff training and on the job training

Ideally applicants will have:
• Qualifications in a relevant discipline or experience in the community care sector
• Experience in a similar position is highly desirable
• An ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email
• Excellent organisational, time management skills and problem solving skills
• Sensitivity to culturally diverse communities and related issues
• An ability to work well in an independent work environment with regular interaction with Service Coordinators
• Well developed computer skills
• Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake same
• Current NSW Drivers Licence
