The organisation

Our client located in St. Leonards is a broad based NFP & the peak national body dedicated to reducing the impact of cancer on Australian men, their partners & families

The role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the Major Gifts and Bequests Manager will be a key member of the growing fundraising team

Major Gifts 70%

•Design, implement and manage a comprehensive five year major gifts strategy in order to grow fundraising income

•Research and identify prospective major gift donors through the existing supporter database and network, as well as prospective donors not currently engaged with PCFA

•Implement and manage an engaging stewardship program

•Achieve annual major gifts income targets

Bequests (30%)

•Design, implement and manage a comprehensive long-term bequest strategy

•Develop a program of engagement activities for current and prospective bequest donors

•Correspond efficiently with solicitors, executors, accountants, trustees and other relevant parties to ensure appropriate administration of wills and timely estate distribution

Skills required

•Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple programs

•An effective communicator with strong presentation skills

•High level relationship building/management skills

•An initiator and influencer and competent networker

Experience
•Strong background in strategy development and execution of major gift and bequest programs (3+ years)
•Proven experience in developing and managing stewardship programs
•Demonstrated experience and ability to analyse data in order to generate and cultivate leads
•Track record in successfully achieving financial targets
