The role is diversified and interesting, offering you real involvement and input. Primary responsibility is the operational success of the Program department. The department delivers homelessness prevention programs and educational support. Overall you will be ensuring management and development of the team and stakeholder partnerships together with program delivery including quality control and evaluation.
Main areas of the role:
• End to end operational delivery of the accommodation programs (covering: site location and build; the application process for the final occupant; the continuous management of the operation and funding cycle from inception for a period of up to 20 years and this includes repairs and maintenance, relocation, state/community grants, leasehold and property sales and ongoing and future building contracts)
• End to end operational delivery of the education programs
• Growth and innovation of these programs within the organisation’s strategic plans (this includes the capacity to contribute, understand and communicate policy frameworks and participate in future project evaluation and research, in the areas of social impact, funding feasibility and community housing initiatives
• Ensure key relationships with partners and stakeholders are maintained and mutually beneficial (covering: Government bodies; building project managers; contractors; community service organisations; families and young people; internal team and more)
• Supervise, lead and develop the program team
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators including budgeting, compliance etc
• Manage program quality and evaluation
• Drive outcomes in line with the organisation’s values and mission statement
• Participation in the senior management team
PLEASE NOTE A COMPREHENSIVE POSITION DESCRIPTION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT INTERVIEW.
Ideally, you will have previous experience within a relevant industry (housing, community services or construction) at a senior level and be able demonstrate success in developing, implementing, evaluating and managing innovative programs. A relevant tertiary qualification, proficient systems management and a positive energetic and honest work ethic is essential.
