About the organisation

Organisation Name : Whitelion Group

About the role

Whitelion is a not-for-profit community organisation (operating in five States), that supports and empowers young people at risk to reach their full potential. We support young people at risk of entering the justice system and experiencing isolation, lack of connection to the community and limited access to opportunities to access positive role modelling, mentoring, education and employment support.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, motivated and innovative State Manager to join and lead our team and build on the success we have enjoyed during our years of successful operations in New South Wales. Leading a team of passionate professionals, your focus will be to drive the success and ongoing sustainability of Whitelion in NSW.

A critical aspect of this role is the ability to develop and maintain close, value adding relationships with clients, stakeholders, volunteers and staff; therefore you will have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively motivate and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders. You are a leader with excellent communication skills who ensures client relationships are further enhanced through a focus on program service delivery and positive young people outcomes.

You will have experience and technical knowledge with proven success managing similar programs, preferably in the Community Services Sector and/or government system. As an all-rounder you will hold a relevant qualification ideally in social science, business, community services or related areas. You will also demonstrate strong account management skills with business and financial acumen; encompassing operational, resourceful, technical and executive managerial experience. You will be flexible and won’t hesitate to jump in and do ‘whatever needs to be done’ to support a small and committed team.

This is an exciting opportunity where your professionalism, leadership and passion will help change the lives of young people at risk. Whitelion prides itself on its positive values and culture, strong business integrity and dedication to build enduring and professional partnerships with all stakeholders.

An excellent market competitive salary package, including base salary, superannuation, plus car, plus salary packaging is on offer. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will be required to pass a Working with Children Check and Police Check. Those with a prior criminal history (depending on the nature of the offence) will be considered.
