About the role

NWS is seeking an outstanding business development professional for this exciting role to work with the CEO to identify, develop and secure multiple revenue streams for the organisation including; grant income; corporate sponsorship; enterprise activities and philanthropic funding utilising our DGR status.

The Business Development Manager will play a major role in supporting the CEO in this growth strategy, by developing new service areas and actively managing our nascent corporate services programs. These are a series of ‘fee-for-service’ products that are available for corporates and the community sector. In addition the BDM will be responsible for building upon our existing corporate partnerships and significantly increasing grant revenue.

This is an important role within NWS and is an exciting and motivating opportunity for a business development professional with a passion for Aboriginal health and wellbeing to ‘make their mark’. NWS is in a strong financial position having doubled our funding and with a new and strong operational model. The BDM will play a crucial role in partnership with the CEO to continue the growth and impact of this outstanding organisation.

This is a highly engaged, motivated, active team and the BDM will play a vital role in supporting and working with the team to build our profile and financial independence.

Selection Criteria
Applicants must have;
• Three to five years’ experience in a business development role in the community or philanthropic sector.
• Outstanding knowledge, skills and results in securing grant, corporate and fee-for-service funding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong skills in marketing and public relations.
• Outstanding writing skills.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal health and community needs and concerns.
