Our Client, Christian Venues Association is a not-for-profit organisation which operates nationally as an interdenominational member association of Campsites, Conference Centre’s, Activity Service Providers and individuals. The association supports members who create temporary community experiences for groups of individuals within charitable organisations, churches, schools, community groups, and even into the corporate sector. Established in 1974, they have close to 200 member organisations who are situated in every State in a variety of settings.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will give sound leadership and direction towards the achievement of the organization’s mission, strategy and its annual goals and objectives.  The CEO will oversee a team of people in Sydney and will be responsible for developing a Godly mission and vision for the organization in conjunction with the Board.  With a balance of strategic and hands on operational skills, you will be responsible for revenue creation, annual budget, accountable for program and service delivery, fundraising, HR and finance. You will also represent CVA speaking at conferences, member functions and any key events across the nation and internationally.

The successful candidate will be a mature Christian with a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles where you have built, led and nurtured highly effective and co-operative teams. We are looking for a servant- leader who is strongly aligned to the values of this organisation, who has the ability to inspire and influence others, to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including major supporters, church leaders and local Christian partners. You will possess excellent leadership skills, be highly organized, have sound business and financial acumen, be tertiary qualified and have the unique ability to engage people in the work of CVA. Your experience in working with an active Board will be highly regarded.

Your knowledge and understanding of Christian Camping in particular will be important for this role as is your love for the Church and missions. This is one of those great opportunities for someone who wants to use their skill and talent to really make a difference.
