About CAFS
Child & Family Services Ballarat (CAFS) is a not-for-profit, community service organisation that provides a range of programs and services to children, young people and families who are vulnerable or in need of support. CAFS has a long history supporting families, dating back to 1865 with the Ballarat Orphanage and Ballarat Children’s Home.

To achieve our goal we are seeking a suitably qualified and committed individual to fill the role of Wozzles Operations & Sales Coordinator.

About the role
CAFS is a major provider of services for children, youth and families within the community. As part of its social enterprises, recycled clothing and second-hand goods business “Wozzles Wearhouse” provides a supplementary revenue stream to enhance service delivery of various funded programs.

The business comprises of a recycled collection and processing centre together with two retail outlets located in Ballarat. Donated goods are collected from a large number of collection bins located in the Ballarat and surrounding districts.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor the Wozzles 2016 – 2021 Strategic Business Plan.
• Oversee and assist with the sorting/selection of clothing
• Recruit, train, and supervise employees and volunteers across the entire Wozzles operations, including but not limited to shop assistants at the Wozzle’s retail outlets, a variety of processing roles in the operations centre and collection drivers.
• Co-ordinate the placement of collection bins and liaise with property owners, local government authorities and other organisations who collect recycled goods.
• Prepare weekly volunteer rosters and oversee the sales operations of retail outlets.
• Oversee the delivery and placement of stock to retail outlets and removal of aged stock.
• Oversee the collection of donated goods from collection bins, wheelie bins and collection bags and liaise with the public as required.
• Co-ordinate the staffing of the Wearhouse operations centre in conjunction with the Wearhouse Supervisor.
• Identify and negotiate potential sale opportunities for recycled goods.
• Arrange for storage of excess collection of goods in periods of high supply.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements.
