The Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) NSW has a mission to get young people active in life, to work with Young people to develop their skills, character and leadership and to reduce and prevent crime by and against young people. PCYC was established in 1937 and over 75 years later has grown to be one of Australia’s leading youth focused organisations. With more than 60 clubs and centres through the state, with more than 90,000 members and more than 140 different activities, PCYC is one of the largest youth organisations in Australia.

Having been through a decade of reform, investment and growth, PCYC is at an exciting time in their evolution; with a dedicated board, new Chair and proven track record for excellence in community engagement, they are well positioned to grow and expand their reach under the guidance of an emotionally intelligent and commercially astute leader.

PCYC is often referred to as a ‘movement’ made up of three parts – The Charitable Company, the NSW Police Force and the Community. Working alongside the Superintendent in charge of the Youth Command and modeling strong partnership and collaboration, you will provide strategic direction and inspirational leadership to ensure the achievement of PCYC’s mission, organisational objectives and financial sustainability.

You will champion the organisation’s culture and ensure excellence in service delivery across all programs in order to ensure PCYC maintains and improves its sector leadership role. Using your exceptional communication skills, you will be committed to empowering others and engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including the NSW Police Force, senior management team, community and sector leaders and funding bodies.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leader with exemplary commercial, strategic and people management skills gained in the public or the private sector in an organisation of equivalent size and complexity. Experience in, or exposure to a non-profit or youth sector organisation is highly desirable but not essential.
