Cure Brain Cancer Foundation has set itself a challenging Mission – to increase brain cancer five-year survival from the current 20% to 50% by 2023. In working to achieve this, the Foundation is advocating for people living with brain cancer, has established global collaborations, is funding innovative research, incentivising local and global investment and is bringing world class clinical trial platforms to Australia to accelerate treatments for people with brain cancer.

We are looking for a CEO who can lead the organisation through its next growth phase. They will be required to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders, including the brain cancer community, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, investors, government, NFP leaders and influencer groups. They must have the presence, intellect and influence to accelerate this complex and time critical work.

The CEO will be a rare individual who is a lateral, entrepreneurial thinker with strong business acumen and has experience in influencing systemic change. They will have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders both nationally and internationally. The CEO will require a leadership style that enhances a strong team culture, creates role clarity and accountability for the team, whilst nurturing the autonomy required for innovation, all in the context of a constantly changing environment.

The Foundation has seen rapid revenue growth in the last few years and is planning to extend this success into new areas. The CEO will need to ensure ongoing financial sustainability as well as managing and mitigating the associated risks.

Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is at an exciting time in its evolution; with a dedicated board, a strong leadership team, expert staff, and a proven track record for excellence and innovation. The board is ambitious and driven to see significant change and is looking for a CEO who is up for the challenge of delivering the Foundation’s mission.

This is a full time role, with competitive remuneration, located in Sydney.
