About the role
You should apply for this position if you are interested in using innovative trauma-based frameworks to support children and young people recover from the effects of abuse and family violence within a therapeutic care context.
The Foundation currently provides a statewide therapeutic out of home care service program to carers and children/young people in foster care, kinship or family group home care and specialised packages of support to children and young people in out of home care with complex needs. Recently, the Foundation secured the statewide contract to deliver counselling services to children and young people affected by family violence.
As a result of service expansion, the Foundation is seeking a number of Child Trauma Counsellors / Therapeutic Specialists in the north, northwest and south to work across these two program areas, providing successful applicants with a varied caseload
We encourage applications from individuals who have experience in working within child protection, out of home care or mental health settings and want to become part of a dynamic team.
