About the role

About us

NSW Council for Intellectual Disability is an award winning advocacy organisation supporting people with disability and their families and carers to speak up on the big issues and change things for the better. We do this through systemic advocacy, an information service, and various projects such as My Choice Matters.

As an organisation we are fierce advocates; we live and die by ‘nothing about us without us’; we are different. As a team, we are dynamic and energetic, constantly on the hunt for new opportunities and ways of doing things. We didn’t all arrive with a background in disability but our shared focus on human rights and innovation has allowed us to thrive and succeed. We drive change with everything we do and are now hoping to expand our team with likeminded people who can work with us into the future. You will be joining an invigorated team, working to reach new communities and start new initiatives. This will give you the chance to have a say and put your stamp on the work that we do. We’re after people with transferable skills and a thirst to make a difference.
