About the role

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is the largest provider of orientation and mobility services for people with impaired vision in Australia. We have a trusted and recognised brand and deliver thousands of free client programs annually.

We are seeking a dynamic fundraising professional to coordinate, administer and grow our Model Dogs program (collection dogs), and to provide assistance to the Philanthropy Manager in stewarding current corporate partners and seeking new corporate partners. Responsibilities in this position include:

• Coordinate and administer the Model Dog program including ordering new Model Dogs and coordinating repairs and maintenance, manage cash collections, analyse and report on financial results, maintain contact and direction for volunteers and partners on the program, maintain records associated with the program, and develop procedures as required to control risks;
• Grow income from the NSW/ACT Model Dog program through leading and securing new business opportunities for placement and reassigning underperforming model dogs;
• Coordinate and administer all aspects of the Corporate Partnership program including establishing new partnerships, developing partnership agreements, growing current relationships, and ensuring all aspects of the agreed scope of the partnership are met;
• Represent the organisation at Corporate Partner events, meetings and other activities as required;
• Develop and implement strategies to increase income from Corporate Partnerships;
• Work with the National Manager – Commercial Partnerships to implement national programs within NSW/ACT;
• Coordinate and project manage special events within portfolio as required; and
• Other projects as required.

To be considered for this opportunity you must demonstrate having met the following selection criteria:

• Broad-based knowledge of corporate giving and community involvement activities through experience in promotions, marketing and/or fundraising;
• Results-driven and self-motivated;
• Experience in donor stewardship, thanking and cultivating donors;
• Customer service skill and experience;
• Superior communication skills (both written and verbal) to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders including colleagues, suppliers and supporters;
• Good organisation and administrative skills;
• Completion of a relevant tertiary qualification;
• Good research skills;
• The ability to manage the goals of the organisation in conjunction with the goals of the Partner organisations to obtain the best outcome for both;
• Possession of a current driver’s licence with a good driving history; and
• Ideally you will have 2+ years fundraising experience and account management experience.
