Partnership Manager

A unique and rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced Partnership Manager to join our nib foundation team.

What you’ll do
As the Partnership Manager you will assist the Executive Officer to effectively manage and promote nib foundation’s grant programs and partnerships.

This means you will:
– assist with the assessment, administration, delivery, and promotion of the foundation’s grant programs;
– provide end to end grant management of a case load of projects including due diligence, contract management, monitoring and reporting; and
– assist with brand management, communication and marketing activities to promote nib foundation and our partners across a variety of internal and external channels.

Your effective stakeholder management in fostering cooperative partnerships with our charity partners and other internal and external stakeholders will be key.

About you
You will have previous end-to-end grant management experience in a similar philanthropic or corporate funding environment and in addition, you will hold a tertiary degree to back up your hands on experience.

Your demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders will ensure your success in this diverse role. You will also be comfortable to undertake financial viability assessments and support the Executive Officer with reporting. You will be an analytical thinker with strong interpretative skills and the ability to make ethical and informed decisions.

About nib foundation
nib foundation is nib’s charitable arm in Australia, established in 2008 with a donation of $25 million which was raised through the issue of new shares at the time nib demutualised and listed as a public company.

Each year we grant up to $2 million to Australian charities, ranging from one-off grants of $5,000-50,000 to support grassroots community health projects to large multi-year partnerships of up to $1.5 million to develop, pilot, and evaluate important new approaches to entrenched health issues.

The foundation is a Private Ancillary Fund with a separate legal structure and board of directors. We are based in nib’s head office in Newcastle and we work closely with nib to communicate the foundation’s charitable work to the broader community.

Now in our 8th year of grant making, we are proud to have committed over $14 million to 95 partnerships across Australia that have improved the health and well-being of more than 50,000 people who have participated in these programs.
