About the role

The Information Access Group was established in January 2009. We are a design and communication studio with a specialisation in accessibility. We work with a range of clients in the government, community and disability sectors.

Our business is currently growing and we are creating a combined Studio/Account Manager role. The Studio/Account Manager will:

  • Play an important account management role with key clients.
  • Plan and oversee resourcing and juggle shifting priorities.
  • Write quotes and proposals.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion in design, print, web and accessibility.
  • Liaise with the design team, providing feedback and tight quality control.
  • Seek print quotes, manage print processes and liaise with printers.
  • Write content and pitch in on jobs where required.
  • Help us streamline our processes and be even better at what we do.
  • Support our business goals as we grow.

We have a lovely office in Clayton where you would be a key part of a small, friendly, tight-knit team.

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following skills and expertise:

  • A background in design, marketing and communications.
  • At least five years of experience managing editorial, design, web and print projects, overseeing small to medium teams.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with clients from the government, community and/or disability sectors, with a record for delivering projects on time and/or within tight turn arounds.
  • A confident user of a range of programs, including Acrobat, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A competent writer who can express themselves clearly and succinctly.
  • An all-rounder who is not afraid to work across a range of activities, including design, editorial, web, communications and marketing.
  • An ability to think visually as well as having an affinity with words.
  • Knowledge of web and print accessibility, or a willingness to learn about it.

Experience in small business will be viewed favourably, as will experience with tenders, contract management and government procurement processes.

We’d like to work with someone who is flexible, capable, friendly and dynamic, and who has excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
