The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (PMCC) is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer and one of an elite group of hospitals worldwide to have its own integrated cancer research program and laboratories.

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation (PMCF) is the philanthropic fundraising arm for the Centre. Reporting directly to the Fundraising Director, you will be working with a dynamic and highly skilled team, with a strong focus on innovation, growth and success.

This role will be responsible for coordinating the identification, cultivation, submission and solicitation, reporting and ongoing stewardship of Trusts and Foundations (including private, public and corporate Trusts and Foundations) to ultimately drive growth in Trusts and Foundations income.

This fast-paced environment will see you building strong working relationships with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre key stakeholders to support the hospital’s capacity to receive program support through additional Trust and Foundation funding. In addition, you will also work closely with the Foundation team in relation to the key fundraising streams of Major Gifts and Capital Campaign activities.

The ideal candidate will meet the below selection criteria:

• Demonstrated ability to achieve annual Trust and Foundation income targets through the effective donor cultivation, written submissions and reporting
• Demonstrated experience and qualities in building strong internal and external relationships, especially with key Trust and Foundation stakeholders
• Excellent written communication skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality submissions to tight deadlines
• Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and the philosophy of charitable giving
