About the job:

–       Reporting to CEO – Jordan O’Reilly

–       Full time, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm

–       Start date: Immediate (January 2017)

–       Remuneration: Tier 3 – $80,000 – $100,000

 

Responsibilities and duties:

The role will involve work and responsibility across the following five areas:

1. WHS systems

  • Redesign, build and implement full organisational WHS systems, including:

         – HQ WHS systems and compliance

         – Hireup (platform) WHS system – design, build and implement v.4 of the Hireup safety system (worker and client)

  • Ongoing management of all user safety, compliance and WHS related events, incidents and issues:

         – First responder to all issues or incidents relating to our users

         – Coordinating and making representations with all relevant authorities – state and federal policy, relevant government departments, work cover, relevant ombudsman, etc.

  • Ongoing strategy:

         – Lead the design, development and implementation of ongoing WHS strategy for the organisation

         – Attend all relevant conferences, expos and industry trainings

 

2. Training systems

  • Redesign, build and implement full organisational training systems (both internal and platform based training).
  • Partnerships: building offline, innovative partnerships with some of Australia’s leading training providers
  • Ongoing strategy:

         – Lead the design, development and implementation of ongoing training strategy for the organisation

         – Attend all relevant conferences, expos and industry trainings

 

3. Risk management

  • Working closely with the CEO to design, build and implement an organisational risk management system

 

4. Policy and procedure

  • Building and implementing all organisational policies and procedures

 

5. Compliance, Accreditation and Insurance

  • Work closely with the CEO on all compliance and accreditation related activities, such as NDIS registration and industry standards.
  • Manage all organisational insurance policies and projects.

 

About you:

–       We’re looking for someone with a background in training, occupational/workplace health and safety, compliance and risk management.

–       We want an energetic, positive and entrepreneurial individual with the ability to turn big ideas into reality by getting their hands dirty

 

Skills and experience:

–       Passionate about good safety and compliance systems

–       5 + years experience in occupational health and safety, training, compliance and/or risk related role

–       Experience in the disability sector with a good understanding current policy reforms – Highly desirable

–       Super positive attitude with a growth mindset

–       Ability to think on a systematic level, as well the ability to generate practical and implementable ideas

–       Excellent verbal and communications skills

–       Demonstrated ability to design, develop and implement complex organizational systems

–       Confident and capable with demonstrated ability to lead others

–       Self-motivated and reliable

–       Eager to work in a startup environment: fast paced, rapidly changing, high growth

–       Not afraid to get stuck in – you will be working in a small team and will need the ability to implement ideas and strategies yourself
