About the organisation
About the role
Volunteer Program Consultant (maternity leave)
These four words readily describe you:
Influential Flexible Common Sense Good sense of humour
At Vision Australia, we have an incredible workforce of volunteers who make a positive difference to the lives of people who are blind or have low vision. Within Vision Australia, a volunteer is a co-worker who commits time and skills without remuneration. Volunteers are an integral member of our workforce in achieving our vision.
The leadership team of our Volunteering Program consists of 3 staff (nationally) including our Volunteer Program Consultant for Victoria who is expecting a baby early in 2018. We are incredibly excited for her and want to find a great replacement for her nine months maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to truly make a difference to the lives of our clients through influencing and leveraging opportunities for our volunteer workforce. We are committed to providing support to our volunteers and our regional teams who work alongside our volunteers every day. The Volunteer Program Consultant supports the 8 Victorian regions (11 locations) with specialist expertise, advice and support. The role will travel around the state so you need to be flexible for this.
So, is this you? Are you influential, have common sense (it’s not common you know!), flexible and have a good sense of humour? We are a small team who make a difference, we love what we do and have a few laughs along the way.
Please read the PD and if this is you, I would love to hear from you. Genuine interest and capability only please.
As part of Vision Australia’s commitment to being an inclusive employer and embedding a culture where staff, volunteers and clients can be themselves and feel safe, and to protecting the best interests and safety of children and vulnerable people, successful applicants will be subject to a number of pre-employment checks including criminal history and working with children.
