Our Mission / Objective

ABM wants to see people everywhere experience the wholeness of life God offers in Jesus Christ, and to this end support our Partners as they participate in God’s mission.

Our Services

Our Church to Church Program supports evangelism, theological training, study exchanges and programs with children and youth. Our Community Development Programs provide health, education, food, clean water, agricultural resources, HIV treatment and prevention, humanitarian aid and climate change awareness.

Our Beneficiaries

We work with our church partners at grassroots level for the benefit of their local communities. Our projects not only help Anglicans, but also other people regardless of religion or membership of any group.

Projects in Progress

ABM works with church based organisations in Papua New Guinea, Myanmar (Burma), the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Zambia, Kenya, Jerusalem, Palestine and with Aborigines & Torres Strait Islanders in Australia. We support projects focusing on community development and evangelism as well as reconciliation.

How to help us

Wills and Bequests

When considering a gift in your will, it is natural for your family and friends to be your first thought. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t leave a gift to the cause you believe in.

The Anglican Board of Mission has, for over 150 years, worked to support our partners overseas as they have sought to bring love, hope and justice to the people they serve. The Gospel calls the Church to care about people wherever they are in need. In Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Burma and many other countries, the lives of children, their families and communities are getting better because of ABM supported projects that are cost-effective and practical.

Please help us continue to build a world worth inheriting and consider ABM in your will.

For more information or if you would like to receive a free information kit, please contact our Bequest officer on 02 8280 6811 or visit our website www.abmission.org

Volunteer with us

Do you want to play a part in mission? At ABM, we are always looking for volunteers who can help to support our staff at our friendly head office in Sydney. You can check for any new voluntary positions which will be advertised on the SEEK Volunteer and GoVolunteer websites. Most positions will be in administrative support and tasks can be quite varied but we often try to match your skills and experiences as best we can so that you may benefit from your time here. Our volunteers play such an important role within our organisation and we welcome people from all different backgrounds and life experiences to join us in God’s work.
