Our Mission / Objective

Our Services

ASC is a place of hospitality and welcome. It is an oasis for many people, a safe place for those who have fled situations of great danger. ASC provides a range of services all under one roof for individuals and families seeking asylum in our community. These are healthcare, casework, legal advice, emergency housing and financial assistance, employment services, education, food and social supports.

Our Beneficiaries

Established in 1993, ASC assists people seeking asylum in NSW to navigate their way in our society, and to connect with community and services. We provide practical support for over 2500 people from 80 countries as they await the outcome of their application for protection in Australia.

How to help us

Wills and Bequests

Leaving a gift in your Will to Asylum Seekers Centre is one of the most significant ways of ensuring that your legacy continues to benefit people seeking asylum. When you have made your decision, it’s important that you let your family know and that you seek advice from your solicitor or the Public Trustees in your State. If you already have a Will, you can add a Codicil to include your Bequest. There are different types of Bequests that you can nominate in your Will to the Asylum Seekers Centre ABN 47164509475.  Once you have provided for your loved ones, you can leave a Residuary Bequest to Asylum Seekers Centre – in other words the remainder of your estate.  You may prefer to Nominate a Percentage of Your Estate that you want reserved for Asylum Seekers Centre. Or, alternatively, if you wish to leave Asylum Seekers Centre a specific sum of money, which is know as a Pecuniary Bequest. You can also leave particular items such as shares, paintings, or property in your Will. Thank you

General Donations

ASC needs financial support to help us provide a comprehensive range of practical and personal support for people living in the community who are seeking asylum. We rely on private donations and grants from philanthropic trusts and foundations to assist individuals and families as they await the outcome of their application for protection.  Donations: secure.asylumseekerscentre.org.au  or  Join ASC's regular giving community: secure.asylumseekerscentre.org.au/regulardonation  Thank you

Other support

There are many other ways you can support ASC financially or in-kind.  Some other ways give financially include Workplace Giving, In-Celebration or In-Memorial Gifts, Community Fundraising in your local community, participating in a public event to fundraise for ASC.   ASC relies on in-kind support for food (asylumseekerscentre.org.au/food-and-toiletry-donations/), and Laptops, tablets and phones (asylumseekerscentre.org.au/laptop-donation/).   Thank you
