Our Mission / Objective

Operating since 1961, Cat Haven is Western Australia’s largest open admission cat shelter, which means we never say no to any cat or kitten. Each year, we take in over 6500 homeless cats and we do our best to re-home as many as possible. We promote adoption of cats and kittens from Cat Haven, and help new owners find their perfect match. We offer the best possible health care, including gentle and humane euthanasia when needed in our Vet Clinic

Together with its rehoming program, the Cat Haven has an active ranger service to assist the public in emergency situations and a dedicated lost and found service.

On a daily basis Cat Haven assists members of the public with advice and assistance, offering subsidised goods and services and giving flexible payment options for low income earners.

Cat Haven also has quality cat boarding facilities (often assisting in emergency situations) and an extensive retail store offering vet recommended animal products.

At its foundation, Cat Haven aims to continually educate the public on matters surrounding cat welfare, is an active supporter of the G2Z (get to zero euthanasia) movement, and continues to work with state government for improved outcomes for cats.

Cat Haven asks people to donate, adopt, foster a cat, volunteer, or bequeath a gift in their Will.

Regular monthly donations are easy and safe via our website www.cathaven.com.au
