Our Mission / Objective

The Clifford Craig Foundation is the charity arm of the Launceston General Hospital, the acute referral hospital for the northern half of Tasmania, and the second largest hospital in the State.

The Foundation is an independent community organisation whose mission is to raise funds for medical research to be undertaken at the hospital and ensure our medical professionals continue to find better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately cure life-threatening diseases.

Donations to the Clifford Craig Foundation also help fund life-saving medical equipment, patient facilities and health promotion initiatives at the hospital, which ultimately supports the provision of better healthcare service for the people of our region.

Our vision is to be a leading health based fundraising organisation, trusted by the community and renowned for investing in a future of exceptional healthcare, research and education.

How to help us

General Donations

There is no such thing as an average donation because there is no such thing as an average donor.

Every donor who chooses to support us does so because he/she has decided to make a donation in support of our medical research work for unique and individual reasons.

Often these reasons are extremely personal and heartfelt. We acknowledge that this support will come to us in unique ways, just as our generous donors are each unique. The beautiful aspect to this is that every donation – no matter how large or small – adds to what others have given to make a truly unique and wonderful gift which improves the lives of our fellow Tasmanians and human beings all around the world. This is why every gift humbles us and astounds us.
