Our Mission / Objective

To provide monitory support for leukaemia researchers and medical personnel and to support leukemia patients and their families in Tasmania.

Projects in Progress

Fundraising for leukaemia research and patient support is ongoing. We are currently financing two research projects at the Menzies Research Institute and the University of Tasmania. They are titled "Regulation of intergrins by RUNX1 in leukaemia" and "Validation of newly identified genes in the pathogenesis of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia". The Foundation is also providing finance to employ a Haematology Cancer Care Coordinator Nurse at the Royal Hobart Hospital to assist patients with the management of their diagnosis. The Foundation continues to support Professional Development Scholarships for leukaemia/ cancer nursing and allied medical staff throughout Tasmania.
