Our Mission / Objective

Disability Services Australia (DSA) is a professional and flexible for-purpose organisation employing more than 1,800 people. We offer a range of essential community support, employment and training services which provide opportunities for people with a disability to reach their full potential at home, at work and in their community life.

DSA has a strong presence in a number of key regions in New South Wales including the Hunter, the Illawarra, Metropolitan Sydney, the Southern Highlands and Southern Ranges. We are an integral part of more than 50 communities across New South Wales. We have continued to develop the range and quality of our service offerings whilst growing the number of people we support year on year.

We provide contemporary, innovative services that promote choice and self determination for the people we serve.

Our Services

Our Packaging Solutions division continues to offer meaningful supported employment, as it has for more than sixty three years, whilst our Employment Pathways teams provide a range of NDIS and Disability Employment Service (DES) funded work readiness supports for those who aim to find employment in the open market as well as nationally recognised training through our RTO – METS. Our Community and Home Living teams provide a range of accommodation supports and social and recreational day time activities from our Community Solutions centres and in the community.

We remain firmly committed to the original purpose and vision of our founding families. We strive to empower people with a disability to live a life of choice and inclusion with the support of their family and community networks.

How to help us

Wills and Bequests

A bequest to Disability Services Australia becomes an enduring memorial and has the power to enhance lives – the lives of people with a disability. Your gift will ensure that people with a disability have access to everything that you and I take for granted.

General Donations

Relying on Government funding alone for all our work is not an option.

With help from our generous supporters, DSA has served the community for more than 62 years. Only through continued community support can we sustain our services promoting people’s inclusion, achievements and choices at home, at work and in the community

Work with us

Working with DSA can be a rewarding experience.

Our workforce is made up of people with diverse values, backgrounds, skills and experiences. We truly value this diversity and recognise the benefits that this brings to us and to our customers.

We are an EEO employer. We encourage applications from all members of the community, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature age people.

There are mandatory requirements for some roles, please check the position description for details.
