Our Mission / Objective

To see a Chaplain serving in every Life Saving community in Australia.

Projects in Progress

We identify, train, and place Chaplains into Life Saving Communities, both surf and royal. The Chaplain provides the club with Pastoral Care available to all members and their families, extends the club’s duty of care, and enhances peer/trauma support. These Chaplains, who are unpaid volunteers, receive specialized training in Sports Chaplaincy and become the club committee’s “go-to” person when there is a major or minor incident impacting the club, or any individual need. They are not outside strangers called in, but are familiar, friendly faces who are known by the members. The Chaplain is there to help a club build and model, a healthy, stable and caring community.
