Our Mission / Objective

We are people people, and this is reflected in the services we provide and the relationships we develop. Our values drive our work, our approach, and our direction for: building relationships, and being imaginative, respectful, responsive, and courageous. We work with individuals, their carers and others in the community to ensure the best care and support is developed for each individual’s needs. This includes working in partnership with the community, elders, government and private sector across the areas of disability support, aged care, families and children, youth, domestic violence, mental illness and homelessness, and refugee and asylum seekers.

Projects in Progress

Life Without Barriers is working with communities across a number of service delivery areas.  Our services include: disability support, home-based aged care services, out-of-home care support for families and children, services for young people leaving care, emergency support for women escaping domestic violence, psychosocial services for people with mental illness, assistance to people experiencing homelessness, and provision of onshore services for refugee and asylum seekers.

Volunteer with us

You can help us fulfil our objective of championing opportunity for all by working with Life without barriers or volunteering through as a foster carer.  Not all foster carers need to open their homes to a child or young person as a full-time carer, we also want to hear from people able to offer temporary emergency care or occasional respite care for other families.
