MND NSW provides information, support and education about motor neurone disease for people living with motor neurone disease, their families, friends and carers.
Info line
Do you have a question about motor neurone disease? Have you just found out that a friend or colleague has motor neurone disease and you want more information? Are you thinking about attending a motor neurone disease information session but want to find out more before you make the decision about going? Phone the MND Info Line.
Regional advisors
MND NSW regional advisors help people with motor neurone disease connect to the services they need. Regional advisors also offer ongoing information to families and service providers as questions arise or needs change.
Support groups
MND support groups provide the opportunity for people living with motor neurone disease to meet together regularly. Often, support groups invite a guest speaker who has particular expertise in an area related to MND.

Are you a family member or friend providing care for a person with motor neurone disease?
Education and information sessions
Are you newly diagnosed with motor neurone disease? Caring for someone with MND? Would you like to ask an expert panel your questions about motor neurone disease? MND NSW conducts regular education and information sessions about living with motor neurone disease.
Information resources
Do you need more information about living with motor neurone disease? MND NSW publishes booklets, information sheets and a quarterly member newsletter. Many are available free online for you to read, print or download.
Equipment loan
People living with motor neurone disease often require special equipment to continue to live at home. One of the major roles of MND NSW is to help members get access to equipment, as soon as the need for an item arises.
Membership
Membership of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of New South Wales (MND NSW) is free for people with motor neurone disease. If you do not have motor neurone disease you can join the Association by paying a small membership fee, renewable annually.

Wills and Bequests
Leave a gift in your Will?
Where there’s a Will, there’s a way! Leaving MND NSW a gift in your Will can make all the difference to people living with motor neurone disease. Your valuable gift will form a key part of the Association’s long-term income and help us to continue providing essential equipment, information, support and advice for people living with MND, their families and carers. It will also help us to continue funding research for better treatments and ultimately a cure for MND!
Suggested wording for your bequest to the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW:
Specific Legacies
“I give to the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW Inc. the sum of $…….. for its general purposes, free of all duties and taxes payable upon or in consequence of my death and I declare that the receipt of its Chief Executive or other authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”
Residuary Bequests
“I give, devise and bequeath the rest and residue of my estate to the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW Inc. and I declare that the receipt of its Chief Executive or other authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”
