Our Services
Resthaven provides care and support for older people and their carers across South Australia.
We offer the following services:
- Community Services are available for older people and their carers who live at home in the community. The approach we take is modelled on what the older person wants and needs, in a consumer directed care approach.
- Residential Services are available for older people who require ongoing care within an aged care home
- Respite is available for carers to plan a rest or break so they may maintain their own physical and emotional health. Respite may be provided in residential aged care, at home, in small groups or centres, and overnight community respite may also be available.
- Lifestyle Choices Plus offers flexible, individual support on a fee for service basis. There are no waiting lists and the choice of services is yours.
- Specialised Services are benchmarked with evidence based best practice and support framework locally, nationally and internationally.

How to help us
Wills and Bequests
In the early years of South Australia’s settlement, services for the elderly were very limited. Resthaven was established by the Methodist Church in 1935, during the Great Depression, when many frail elderly people relied on Christian charity to survive.
Our purpose was, as it is now, to provide quality care and support for older people and their carers.
Any revenue we generate is directed to the good work we do, not distributed elsewhere or to other causes.
You may make bequests or gifts, such as property, amounts of money or valuable items, to people or organisations in your Will, so that we can continue to provide services for older people in South Australia. Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Please feel free to notify Resthaven that you have made provision of a Legacy.
You can choose to make a specific bequest, a residuary gift, or a pecuniary legacy. We suggest that you obtain professional advice when making your Will.
Your gift can make a lasting difference.
If you would like to discuss a bequest or make an In-Memoriam Gift, please contact:
