Our Mission / Objective

To prevent cruelty to animals in Western Australia by actively promoting their care and protection.


Our Services

RSPCA WA is a not for profit, independent charity dedicated to animal welfare. Our mission is to prevent cruelty to animals in Western Australia by actively promoting their care and protection.



Core activities:



• Inspectorate enforces the Animal Welfare Act by investigating cruelty reports, educating owners, conducting prosecutions and carrying out rescues.



• Education raises community awareness, changes community attitudes, provides resources to schools and conducts animal welfare classes.



• Animal Sheltering entails the care, treatment and accommodation of unwanted and abused animals; then re-homing.



• Government and industry liaison includes advocating legislation, policies and practices that benefit animal welfare. RSPCA WA receives minimal Government funding and relies on community fundraising.


Projects in Progress

The aspirations of RSPCA WA (Inc.) that extend beyond the period covered by the 2009-2014 Strategic Plan are to:



• have State wide public exposure/engagement/understanding of our mission



• provide State wide inspectorate services – both proactive and reactive



• provide State wide education services

How to help us

Wills and Bequests

The RSPCA WA Pet Bequest Program can give you the peace of mind of knowing that your pets will receive the best possible care in their future years. Before you finalise your Will please discuss Pet Bequests with Bequest Liaison on 9209 9332 to ensure any special conditions can be met and to obtain the relevant forms to register your pet.


General Donations

If you would like to make a general donation to help the RSPCA, please visit www.rspcawa.asn.au and click SUPPORT US. If you wish to send a cheque instead please make it payable to RSPCA WA (Inc) and send to PO BOX 3147, Malaga WA 6945.


Other support

There is a level of membership with RSPCA WA to suit everyone. Payment can be by a quaterly deduction from a bank account or credit card which assists in keeping our costs to a minimum annual payment is also available. Adult membership just $10.00 per quarter or $40.00 per year. . To become a member, visit www.rspcawa.asn.au and click JOIN AS A MEMBER.
