Our Mission / Objective

The Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW Inc is committed to improving the circumstances and welfare of people with a serious mental illness, their relatives and carers, and professionals working in the area. The Schizophrenia Fellowship of New South Wales Inc will work to:

  •  eliminate stigma and create a society that is understanding and accepting;
  •  ensure people with serious mental illness, especially schizophrenia, and their carers and relatives have access to  information and appropriate services;
  •  advocate on behalf of people with a serious mental illness, especially schizophrenia, and their carers and relatives  and mental health professionals for better government policy in the areas of research, treatment, rehabilitation,  housing and other relevant areas;

Over 50 Support groups throughout NSW

Training, education and awareness programs

Carers Support Program

Non-english speaking programs

Publications: FOCUS magazine; Clinical Practice Guidelines; website; brochures and kits on schizophrenia and allied disorders

Housing Program:  Sunflower House, Wagga Wagga;  Sunflower House, Ulladulla; Sunflower Centre, Newcastle;

School Education Program:  Day to Day Living – Wagga Wagga, Ulladulla, Dubbo, Canberra, Campbelltown, Ryde, Parramatta
