Our Mission / Objective

Our vision as an organisation is to be a recognised place of learning for Indigenous people and to provide lasting impact on the communities that we serve. We are committed to ensuring that fully-subsidised education will continue to be provided to all Indigenous students. We strive to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment where learning styles are reflective of traditional Indigenous techniques.

Our Services

Tranby, as a nationally registered training organisation (RTO), offers units of competency, full VET qualifications, and non-accredited skill development initiatives to Indigenous adults from across Australia. Courses at Tranby have changed over time from trade-based skills to governance and legal advocacy. Most importantly, Tranby offers these qualifications in a unique, culturally supportive environment. Thousands of students have graduated from this iconic Indigenous organisation, and returned to their communities empowered with newfound skills and a drive for excellence and self-determination.

Our Beneficiaries

All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities around Australia.

We provide this invaluable education for free to our adult Indigenous students, but we receive very limited government funding.

Our vocational education and training courses are designed to increase employment and career pathways for our Indigenous students. Thousands of students have left Tranby with their well-deserved certificates and diplomas and have inspired us and their communities with their dedication, hope and ambitions.

Your organisation could be our next big sponsor. Sponsorship of Tranby is so much more than just a donation – you are contributing towards empowered communities and free education for Indigenous adults. Not only this, but you will receive a range of valuable inclusions as part of your sponsorship- Indigenous executive consultation, venue hire, Indigenous artwork, classroom/building naming rights and much more).

Equipment donations

Help Tranby help our Indigenous students achieve their goals and really assist their communities to be self-managed, self-sufficient and sustainable.

We have very limited funding, so we are always in need of donations of IT and Technology, Stationery and Office Supplies, and Furniture and Office Equipment.

If you have surplus equipment, perhaps after a recent upgrade or you’ve overstocked, put it to good use and donate it for our students to use. Or maybe you’re moving offices and you have surplus furniture or stationery, please give it a new home at Tranby helping our students.

We really appreciate your donations, but we must ask that anything you donate is in good working condition as we do not have the resources for repairs and parts.
