Our Mission / Objective

Turbans 4 Australia was founded in 2015 to encourage Australia’s Sikh and subcontinental communities to help anyone in need regardless of their religion, race or ethnicity. We raise awareness about important social issues, fundraise for worthy causes and participate in charitable works, all while promoting multiculturalism and religious tolerance.

Our Services

Turbans 4 Australia has a strong history of assisting vulnerable Australians facing hardship and disadvantage. Over the years we have:

  • Delivered much needed hay, groceries and water to drought-stricken farmers
  • Donated clothing and groceries to regional Australians doing it tough
  • Collected and distributed emergency food and grocery supplies to bushfire victims
  • Provided freshly cooked meals and grocery hampers to people experiencing homelessness and financial hardship during the COVID-19 crisis

Our Beneficiaries

We’re here to help any Australian in need, with a particular focus on regional and rural Australians, Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people experiencing homelessness or financial hardship.

Projects in Progress

Since the COVID-19 crisis hit Australia, our volunteers have been working non-stop to provide freshly cooked meals and grocery hampers to people in need in cities across the nation. Many of the people we help are elderly, disabled or homeless, while others have recently lost their jobs and are struggling financially. Some have chronic health conditions and are self-isolating to protect themselves from infection. Others are international students or temporary migrants who may be ineligible for government financial support and are unable to return home to their families.
