This post-graduate qualification delivers the foundation to work in a variety of settings in providing family dispute resolution services and interventions for families experiencing high levels of relationship conflict, and may be involved in the Family Law System.
It is a nationally recognised accredited qualification designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to mediate families within the legislative framework utilising the theories, styles of conflict and fundamentals of family dispute resolution.
This course meets the education requirements to apply for registration with the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department to become a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) as well as the National Mediation Accreditation Scheme (NMAS) through a Recognised Mediation Accreditation Body (RMAB), pending completion of additional requirements as set out by NMAS.
This qualification is delivered by Jon Graham, Clinical Director at ISDR. Jon has been in mediation since 1994 in both family law and workplace disputes and is renowned as a leader in this area of study.
