Join Volunteering Australia for our final webinar of 2021 as we explore the ever-changing landscape of Australian volunteering.

It’s estimated that nearly 6 million Australians volunteer through an organisation annually. In a post-covid world where skill shortages are critical, the need for a national volunteering strategy has become crucial. So what does neo-volunteering in Australia look like? And what does this mean for your organisation?

In this masterclass, Volunteering Australia CEO Mark Pearce will discuss volunteering in the context of the contemporary Australian experience.

He’ll take a look at how our experiences compare to experiences internationally and will explore how the development of the National Strategy for Volunteering is a unique opportunity for the broader volunteering ecosystem to drive forward and reimagine volunteering into the future.

The masterclass will provide participants with both a broad overview of the future of volunteering and a look at how reimagining volunteering can lead to better outcomes for volunteers, the community and broader society.

What will this masterclass cover?

  • A look at the uniquely Australian volunteering experience
  • Neo-volunteering and what’s next for community participation in a post-covid world
  • The future of volunteering through reimagining culture and inclusion

What can I expect from this masterclass?

You’ll come away with:

  • An understanding of the volunteering landscape in Australia and how we can learn from the international experience.
  • Clarity on the direction of the new National Strategy for Volunteering and how we can move towards an effective, inclusive and sustainable volunteering sector in Australia.
