Leading Change: Can businesses prevent violence against women?

Details

Presented by Leadership Ballarat & Western Region

Family violence and violence against women is a scourge on our society. At least one woman a week is killed by a partner or former partner (OurWatch, 2017) and 1 in 3 women have experienced physical violence since the age of 15 (ANROWS, 2012). Find out how you can lead change in your workplace.

Expert speakers discuss the underlying drivers of this violence, how they can be changed at the community level, and especially the role businesses can play in leading this change. Leave inspired to lead change in your organisation, in your business community and in the broader community.

Find out where to access support via the Communities of Respect and Equality (CoRE) initiative: an Alliance of organisations in the Grampians region taking meaningful actions to eradicate violence against women and their children from our community. Become aware of the benefits to business when viewed through an equity and diversity lens.

Presented by Leadership Ballarat & Western Region, Committee for Ballarat and Women’s Health Grampians. For further information and to book: Women’s Health Grampians 5322 4100 or Adminb@whg.org.au
