Peninsula Short Film Fest is a free short film festival held annually on the Mornington Peninsula.
The Festival increases arts awareness and fosters emerging talent by providing a platform to showcase upcoming filmmakers work and creating opportunities within the Film industry through networking, mentoring and employment.
The Festival earmarks the Peninsula as a hub for creativity and has garnered the support of some of the most well-known celebrities in the world including Sam Worthington and Russell Crowe. Up to 20 short films are pre-selected and their works screened on the night, competing for monetary prizes. The short films are judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
The team are building the Festival to create a filmmaking hub which actively promotes film and arts and also provides employment opportunities within the sector.
The Festival is free for the community to attend and runs workshops off the main event which encourage the local, metro and interstate audience to become more involved in film and/ or hone their filmmaking skills.
