About the role
Australian Volunteers International (AVI) has exciting overseas assignments available for experienced Community and Social development workers with skills in project management, organisational strengthening strategies and case management.
Assignment objectives vary depending on the needs of the host organisation and the cultural diversity and can include;
- Designing and implementing projects for education reform in the Pacific.
- Developing new projects to assist vulnerable women and children in Asia.
- Creating education and training programs for NGO’s in the highlands of PNG.
- Developing fundraising strategies for rural communities in Africa.

AVI works in several countries in Asia, the Pacific and Africa. AVI volunteers work in partnership with local people and organisations. Their skills and knowledge contribute to reducing poverty, building cross-cultural relationships and supporting sustainable development. Volunteers are provided with a living and accommodation allowance, airfares and insurance.
