About the role

Foodbank Victoria is an independent not for profit organisation that provides food relief to assist people experiencing hardship. With more than 80 years’ experience, we are the oldest and largest food relief organisation in the state.

In 2014/15 we distributed the equivalent of 17 million meals across metro, regional and rural communities. We work with corporate and community partners to source and distribute food with the aim of helping to improve the lives of Victorians.

The Role
This is a fabulous opportunity to come on board in a new role as Development Manager – Philanthropy. You will be responsible to grow and sustain long term high value philanthropic funding and the evolution of our individual donor fundraising base and strategies.

About You

You will need to have the following:

• Substantial experience in a similar role within a not for profit organisation.
• Strong track record of achieving income growth targets within set timeframes and with limited resources, including writing and winning impact funding grants
• Excellent understanding of the fundraising, economic and philanthropic environments within Australia.
• Results, solutions, client service and satisfaction focus.
• Strong network of personal contacts in philanthropy and ability to extend networks.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively and positively, both independently and within a team environment
• Experience using a customer relationship management system, ideally Salesforce
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
• Willingness to demonstrate the Foodbank Values of Empowerment, Accountability, Respect and Integrity while working with us.
