About the role

BreaCan is a statewide gynaecological and breast cancer support and information service. As an integral part of Women’s Health Victoria (WHV) the service aims to empower women to make informed choices about their care and treatment and to support them to live well. Services currently consist of a central city based resource centre and programs and activities delivered in a range of locations including acute and community settings.

The BreaCan Manager reports to the Executive Director of Women’s Health Victoria and the team includes seven staff who work alongside 60 trained peer support volunteers who have personally experienced breast or gynaecological cancer.

You are highly organised, have a track record in attracting resources and managing multiple projects. Your interpersonal skills are highly developed and you easily build respectful relationships with volunteers and colleagues. You have a good awareness of self and others in the workplace, and what enhances a dynamic and collaborative culture.

As a member of the WHV Executive team, you will contribute to organisational capacity and have an opportunity to make a real difference to the health outcomes of women across the State.

This position is permanent full-time. WHV is an organisation that offers a supportive culture, ongoing professional development, and excellent salary packaging benefits.
