Account Manager – Corporate Partnerships

The Role Variety – the Children’s Charity is seeking an experienced Corporate Partnerships Account Manager to join their busy and experienced team of professionals in managing corporate relationships, supporting existing and developing new corporate partnership relationships to empower children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.

Variety is a not-for-profit organisation whose strong values are closely linked with their commitment to helping children in need and their families overcome obstacles they may face in life, by providing practical equipment, programmes and experiences so they can live life to the full.

The Corporate Partnerships Team is a unit within the wider Fundraising team. The role will involve identifying partnership opportunities and managing and developing existing partnership relationships, pitching for and winning new business, developing sales pipelines and securing and identifying revenue opportunities for Variety – the Children’s Charity.

This role requires a highly energetic individual with a strong and mature business acumen who is seeking to be part of a meaningful organisation where they really can make a difference. The successful candidate will possess:

• Significant experience in sales and / or agency account management experience

• A relevant degree in business or commerce (desirable)

• Knowledge and experience of marketing and campaign development from a sales perspective

• Proven ability to manage and develop existing business partnerships and pitching for and winning

  new business opportunities

• Experience in developing a sales pipeline and being able to identify areas of common ground and 

  shared interest with partners 

• Experience and knowledge in CRM systems

• Strong project management skills

• High standard of presentation development and delivery

• Superior communication skills

• Team player – ability to get in and help team members

• Desire to be part of a meaningful organisation

• Experience within the not-for-profit sector (desirable)

This role will require Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment with Variety – the Children’s Charity. This opportunity reports directly to the Corporate Partnerships Manager and is a pivotal role within Variety – the Children’s Charity.
