University College (UC) is a leading residential College providing accommodation, academic, pastoral and well being support for its students in a friendly and relaxed community. Located in Parkville with impressive facilities, UC is a vibrant nondenominational College with undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at the University of Melbourne and other nearby tertiary institutions.

UC has embarked on a significant capital works project. This will prepare the
College for a remarkable and sustainable future in all its dimensions: the student experience, enhanced academic and wellbeing programs, scholarships and
facilities. UC will grow to accommodate over 320 students.

Reporting to the Head of College, as a member of the Senior Management Team,
the Dean of Studies works proactively in the best interests of the students and the College, to foster a vibrant and academically supportive community.

This full-time role contributes to students’ wellbeing at a formative time in their lives. Key result areas include: the development, implementation and
administration of the Academic Programs, overseeing Resident Tutors, Wellbeing
and Community, Recruitment and Admissions, Library and the Intercollegiate
Committee.

Drawing on your tertiary qualifications and minimum 5 years experience working in an education institution, you will have the opportunity to contribute to students’ academic progress, wellbeing and career pathways through your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. The key to your success in this role is your warm and approachable nature with an understanding of and empathy with tertiary students, along with the ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with staff, students, other colleges and the wider community.
