About the role
Sacred Heart Mission’s Journey to Social Inclusion (J2SI) Mark 2 is a three year project that works with 60 people who have experienced chronic long term homelessness. The J2SI model targets the effects of prolonged experience of homelessness, through the provision of intensive long term support that aims to address the immediate needs of the person as well as the underlying cause of homelessness.
J2SI Mark 2 builds on the Mission’s ground breaking 3 year pilot 2009-12, to further test the model’s replicability and ensure that the evidence based model delivers further social and economic benefits for participants, the community and government.
An exciting opportunity exists for a strongly motivated and encouraging individual to join our J2SI team in the newly created Workforce Participation Worker role to achieve client economic and workforce participation outcomes.
Reporting to the J2SI Coordinator, applicants must have expertise in the delivery of employment and economic participation activities with people with complex needs, excellent team work & relationship management skills, and an ability to learn and readily adapt in an ever changing environment.
