About the role

The Song Room is an innovative and growing not for profit national organisation providing music and arts programs in disadvantaged schools, with its national office located in Prahran, Melbourne.

The Song Room is seeking an experienced and dynamic EDUCATION AND TRAINING MANAGER
to support the organisation’s efficient and effective business functioning in areas of Training, Content Development, Evaluation, Partnerships and Quality Assurance.

The EDUCATION AND TRAINING MANAGER is an important member of the Programs team and is responsible for the development of digital and face-to-face training programs for a wide range of stakeholder groups,
They are also responsible for the development of curriculum aligned resources for use in schools by teachers, the management and evaluation of digital and face-to-face programs and the development and maintenance of partnerships with relevant organisations such as curriculum bodies, principal associations and education peak bodies in collaboration with Programs management.

This role reports to the Director of Programs and works closely with the Programs team which includes Programs Managers, Program Coordinators and the Digital Education Manager.

Highly Regarded Skills, Personal Qualities, Experience, and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in a training position with exposure to the development of digital and face-to face training programs
• Prior experience in content development of curriculum aligned resources
• Prior experience in developing digital teaching and learning resources
• High level understanding and experience in quality assurance principles and partnership development
• Training qualifications and competency aligned to a senior role
• Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of organisational, time management skills and attention to detail
• Creative multi-tasking and a pro-active approach to problem solving across competing priorities
• Ability to work effectively, and often unsupervised in a fast-paced, busy team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
• Exposure to working in a national Not For Profit organisation
• The desire to join an innovative and dynamic team
