Our client is a highly respected child-centred and family-focused community services organisation that works with and supports children and families. They are one of the most respected child welfare organisations in Victoria and today have acquired a distinguished reputation for their record of leadership and innovation in the design and provision of integrated child welfare services.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-level analysis and advice to the CEO on new national and state government policy strategies and establishing appropriate responses, initiatives and evaluation frameworks. Working in partnership with a variety of stakeholders, you will lead their strategy development, strategic policy development, business intelligence, research and analysis expertise to support the strategic implementation of innovative initiatives and programs.
Also in this key role you will undertake research, develop and evaluate a portfolio of strategic projects to ensure that the organisation is best placed to meet the changing environment of the social services sector.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to develop strategy and initiate business development and funding opportunities and have experience in research analysis and policy development. Ideally you will have a sophisticated understanding of the complex social and service systems issues that impact on children, young people and families. Your extensive leadership background and relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or related field plus your proven senior management experience within the not-for-profit sector will be vital for this role.
